FAQ: Lodging and Dining
Where do I stay/sleep while attending CDP training programs?
The CDP has one-person dormitories that share a common bathroom. Photos can be found on this site under Travel > Lodging and Dining > Rooms .
How are meals provided?
Breakfast and dinner are provided at the dining hall in the lodging area. Lunch is provided at the CDP training complex.
Can I stay at a local hotel while attending CDP training programs?
If you elect to stay at a local hotel instead of the CDP lodging facility, you are responsible for all expenses, and must coordinate with the CDP Travel Office in advance.
I want to be able to work out, go running, and/or go swimming during my CDP stay. Does the CDP have any facilities available?
Yes. Refer to the Responder Handbook.
Are there refrigerators in the CDP lodging rooms?
No.
Can I bring a friend or spouse to stay with me while I am attending training? This other person will not be attending training, just visiting the area while I am training.
Yes. However, guests are not authorized to reside in the lodging facility. They can stay at any of the hotels outside the training complex property at your expense.
Do the rooms in CDP Lodging have telephones?
Yes. However, a calling card is required to make a long distance call.
Can I get access to the Internet while I am staying at the CDP?
Yes. Refer to the Responder Handbook.
Are guest laundry facilities available?
Yes. Washers and dryers are located in Building 21, CDP lodging area.
I need an ADA-Compliant room. Are these available?
Yes.
