Are there any prerequisites for the training programs?

Who can attend these training programs?
You can find the disciplines on this site under Responder Disciplines.
Will it cost me or my organization any money to attend?
No. All courses at the CDP are fully funded by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Grants and Training (G&T).
Will the CDP pay overtime it will cost my organization to cover my work while I am attending training?
No. Any overtime must be taken care of by each organization independently.
Can I stay over a weekend and attend two CDP training programs back-to-back?
Yes.

I am not getting my questions answered, or I cannot get in contact with my State Contact, what should I do?

After I turn in my completed paperwork to attend CDP training, what happens then, and will I hear from anybody?
Once we receive your application, we will contact your state Point of Contact (POC), who will notify you of your class dates.
Will I need any documents for identification or security purposes to attend CDP training programs or facilities?
Yes. You must have an official photo identification in your possession.
What type of work disciplines are qualified to attend the IC training?
See the section under Responder Disciplines on this site.
A group of people I work with want to attend CDP training programs together. Is that possible?
You must coordinate this through the CDP Registration Contact.
Do I need to have a physician approval to attend any of the CDP training programs?
Only if you answered 'yes' to any question on the medical screening form.
How do I get an application to attend CDP training programs?

What happens to my application for training if I don't get selected for a course based on the three dates I listed?
You will be contacted to select additional dates.
