Course Description The WMD Crime Scene Management for Emergency Responders course is a one-day training course that provides response personnel with the knowledge of how to implement proper procedures and guidelines for crime scene management when responding to a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, or Explosive (CBRNE) hazard incident.

Law enforcement, hazardous material technicians, fire service, emergency management, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), public safety communicators, public health, governmental administrative, health care, public works.
Course Size Minimum 50 responders/maximum 70 responders
Host/Jurisdiction Requirements and Responsibilities
  • Fifty to 70-person environmentally controlled (HVAC) classroom with room for course manuals and note taking (see photo 1)
Participant Requirements
  • Agency-prescribed dress or uniform for class is appropriate for inside training
  • Course manuals for class
  • No personal or agency weapons (including impact and less-lethal weapons), live ammunition, weapon magazines, or flash bangs are to be on the responders or in the training area (including classroom) at any time during this course
  • We ask that cell phones and pagers be turned off during class
