Course Description The WMD Hands-On Training course is a two-day course that provides the responder with hands-on practical exercises that gives the responder the ability to perform triage and decontamination procedures, identify residual contamination through the use of survey and monitoring equipment, and conduct scene survey and safety. As part of the 16 contact hours for this course, the performance defensive responder also performs survey and monitoring procedures, and conducts triage and decontamination of victims within a toxic facility.

Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Emergency Management Agency (EMA), Fire Service, hazardous materials, governmental administrative, public safety communications, health care, and public health.
HOT is not designed for HAZMAT technicians.
Additional Qualifications/
Certifications
HOT is designed for all responders who have completed other performance defensive level courses conducted by the CDP or other National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC) members.
