Introduction to the Terrorist Attack CycleITAC AWR-334 1.5 Contact Hours
The Introduction to the Terrorist Attack Cycle introduces common steps involved in planning and executing terrorist attacks. This course provides participants with the understanding of how to prevent, protect against, respond to, and mitigate attacks that use IEDs against people.
This 90 minute Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), is delivered through live instruction to cover the following topics:
•Identifying terrorism and what a terrorist is
•Understand the Terrorist Attack Cycle
•Countering terrorist attacks before they happen

Critical Infrastructure Owners and Operators, Public Safety Officers, Emergency Managers, Security Officers, Law Enforcement Officials, and Private Sector Security Professionals
Prerequisites and Requirements
VILT registration requires a FEMA SID, to complete the one-time registration process for a FEMA SID please visit: https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register
•Note: Registration will close 2 business days prior to the scheduled start date
•Two business days prior to training, you will receive an email with additional information: Course-specific info, On-Line Virtual Classroom link, and login instructions as well as the Phone Bridge number and pin.
•Instructors will validate the registration during login
•Post course survey will be required to obtain a certificate of training
•To participate in the training session, you will need a laptop, desktop or mobile device with internet access that is capable of running Adobe Connect, Smart phones and tablets may be able to download the Adobe Connect App from the appropriate App Store.
•A phone (landline or cellular) will be necessary to call into the Phone Bridge.
•Participation via the On-Line Virtual Classroom and the Phone Bridge is required in order to receive a certificate of completion.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)/Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) is authorized by IACET (International Association of Continuing Education and Training) to award CEUs for this activity.
