This division includes gases which exert, in the packaging, a gauge pressure of 41 psi or greater at 68 °F. Characteristics of these gases include:
- Non-flammable
- Non-poisonous (compressed)
- Liquefied
- Pressurized cryogenic
- Compressed (in solution)
- Asphyxiant
- Oxidizing
A cryogenic liquid is a liquified gas with a boiling point less than -130°F at 14.7 psi. Examples include liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and hydrogen.
