Low Pressure Tank

Low-pressure liquid tanks are welded steel, fiberglass, or composite sealed containers. These storage containers can be positioned in a vertical or horizontal position.

Low-pressure liquid storage tanks commonly contain fuels such as gasoline and diesel, but they often contain other hazardous materials such as other flammable solvents, oxidizers, corrosives, and toxic liquids. Typically working pressures on these containers range from 2.5-15 psi.

Additionally some low-pressure liquid storage tanks can be partially or completely buried underground. Underground storage tanks can be identified by the presence of above ground vents and fill points at locations like gas stations.
