Non-Bulk Packaging

A non-bulk package is a container with a maximum capacity of less than 450 Liters (119 gallons) if holding liquids; and less than 400 Kilograms (882 pounds) if holding solids; and a water capacity of less than 454 Kilograms (1000 pounds) for gases. Anything with a greater capacity is considered a bulk package which will be discusses later. Examples of non-bulk packages include:

  • Bags
  • Boxes
  • Jars and Bottles
  • Carboys
  • Cylinders
  • Dewer Flasks 
  • Drums
  • Radioactive Materials Packages
