| Dewar flasks are well-insulated small containers for the handling and storage of cryogenic liquids. Even though they have gasketed lids to prevent spilling, they are not designed to hold high pressure and will usually be fitted with a one-way valve to off gas excessive pressure (look for frost around valves or closures). They are commonly found in laboratories and research facilities. They can range from 1 liter to 1000 liters in size. Larger dewar flasks may be mounted on casters to move around on the floor. |
