Low-Pressure Tanks
These trailers are low-pressure tanks used to transport liquids such as mild corrosive, flammable, and toxic liquids. These tank trailers may have pressures up to 25 psi. If they are jacketed with a thin sheet of metal, they will have a “horseshoe shape” appearance from the rear and smooth side appearance. If they are not jacketed, they will have a circular cross section from the rear with strengthening rings visible on the side. They have “manways” and overturn protection on top with visible rear or bottom discharge valves.
