To many times, the term "nuclear power plant accident" brings to mind the accidents that have occurred at the Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima sites.

The purpose of this unit is to provide information concerning methods used to minimize the possibilities for these accidents and actions to be taken to minimize their effects on the public.
