Unusual Events are events that are uncommon but do not represent a threat to the plant or public.

In 2019, there were ten Unusual Event emergency classification notifications made to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). Since 2015, the number of Unusual Events has not exceeded twenty per year.

Examples of unusual events include a small fire, high winds, minor flooding or some mirror system malfunctions.
