‘Virtual’ tribal nations training kicks off

The Center for Domestic Preparedness’ (CDP) Tribal Nations Training Week goes virtual starting today.

The resident portion occurred last week, incorporating training from the CDP and several of its partner organizations in the national and rural domestic preparedness consortiums.

The virtual training will run through March 30 and include courses on a wide range of emergency management, law enforcement and healthcare topics including tactical decontamination, active shooter behavioral indicators, community policing, infectious diseases, and partnering with voluntary organizations during disaster response and recovery.

Tribal Nations Training Week offerings are open to those who work in an emergency response capacity and are affiliated with one or more tribal nations or the Indian Health Service.
