Training America’s Best

The CDP identifies, develops, tests, and delivers training to state, local, and tribal emergency response providers. We provide on-site and mobile training at the performance, management, and planning levels. We facilitate the delivery of training by the training partners of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Resident Training

If you are a state, local, or tribal government emergency responder, this training is completely funded by DHS at no cost to you or your jurisdiction. We fly you into Atlanta airport, pick you up, transport you to the CDP, and provide all meals and lodging. For federal, civilian and international requests, please contact a coordinator. Non-Resident Training

The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has the capability to deliver training to qualified participants at or near the location of the agency that requests the training (sometimes referred to as mobile training). This type of training is usually in support of events of national significance (i.e., National Special Security Event [NSSE], National Level Exercise [NLE], etc.), large state and local events, and specific events taking place locally that impact a jurisdiction. Indirect Training

The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) Indirect Training Program offers students the unique opportunity to receive training in their hometowns at no cost. Learn more about Indirect Training

Training opportunities at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) are available for private sector responders on a space-available, fee-for-service basis, for the purpose of critical infrastructure protection/emergency preparedness, related to acts of terrorism or natural disasters.
