CDP begins Instructor Development Training Week

It’s Instructor Development Training Week on the campus of FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Alabama.

More than 110 responders from throughout the nation are going through the steps to become qualified to deliver select CDP courses to those in their organizations and communities.

Train-the-trainer courses span a wide variety of professional disciplines, including law enforcement, healthcare, emergency management, the fire service, emergency medical services and public health.

Courses being conducted during this week’s specialized training include:

  • Instructor Training Course.
  • Bombing Prevention Awareness Course Train-the-Trainer and Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device Detection Train-the-      Trainer.
  • Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT) and HERT - Basic Train-the-Trainer.
  • Hazardous Materials Awareness (HMA) and HMA Train-the-Trainer with Incident Complexities - Responder Actions for CBRNE        Incidents.
  • Law Enforcement Protective Measures for CBRNE Incidents (LEPM) and LEPM Train-the-Trainer, in conjunction with Intermediate      Hands-On Training for CBRNE Incidents: Law Enforcement, and Law Enforcement Response Actions for CBRNE Incidents.
  • Radiological Series Train-the-Trainer.
  • Bomb Threat Management Planning in conjunction with Integrating Communications, Assessment and Tactics (ICAT) and ICAT        Train-the-Trainer (Conducted with the assistance of the Office for Bombing Prevention and the Police Executive Research Forum).
  • Initial Law Enforcement Response to Suicide Bombing Attacks and Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response Train-the-Trainer (Delivered by Louisiana State University's National Center for Biomedical Research and Training/Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education).
