CDP Coronavirus training material now available online (Updated)
Healthcare and other responders now have a number of additional resources they can turn to, to help them identify and treat those exposed to COVID-19 as well as learn how to safely move and transport patients suspected or confirmed to be infected with the virus.
FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness has posted on YouTube four COVID-19 training videos it recently created.
The first video is about 8 minutes long and provides an overview of COVID-19, to include information about its symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
The second video is about 22 minutes long and provides information about barrier precautions and controls for COVID-19.
The third video, which is about 10 minutes long, is focused on moving and transporting patients suspected of or confirmed to have COVID-19.
The fourth video is titled ‘Precautions and Controls During Home Care of Patients with Known or Suspected Exposure to COVID-19.’ It is seven minutes long and includes information about treating patients in non-healthcare settings.
