CDP courses re-accredited by CAPCE

The Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) has re-accredited select Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) courses through September 14, 2024.

After successful completion of a virtual site visit, within the next 12 months, the courses will be re-accredited for an additional two years.

Chartered in 1992, CAPCE is an accrediting body for those who provide continuing education to emergency medical services (EMS) providers.

Five CDP offerings fall within CAPCE’s area of interest – the CDP’s Healthcare Coalition Response Leadership, Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents, Emergency Medical Operations for CBRNE Incidents, Barrier Precautions and Controls for Highly Infectious Disease, and Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents courses.

Select CDP courses are also accredited by the Alabama Board of Nursing, Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, American College of Emergency Physicians, the Emergency Nurses Association, the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, and the California Department of Public Health. Additionally, the CDP’s Field Force Operations Course is certified by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training.
