CDP courses re-accredited by IACET

All Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP)-developed courses eligible for accreditation were recently re-accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

IACET accreditation follows a rigorous review process by the organization, which includes ensuring the center is committed to making its training the best it can be.

The accreditation is good for five years and allows responders to receive Continuing Education Units, or CEUs, for completing those courses which are accredited.

Many responders are required to participate in continuing education programs for a certain number of hours each year to maintain their certificates, or licenses to practice, current. The annual number of CEUs required varies by state and profession.

Select CDP courses are also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education, the Alabama Board of Nursing, and the California Department of Public Health.

Additionally, the CDP’s Field Force Operations Course is certified by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training.
