CDP delivers virtual training to Rialto school district
The Center for Domestic Preparedness recently held the first in a series of Virtual Instructor-Led Training classes for approximately 50 employees of the Rialto, California, Unified School District Safety Department.
At the request of the district, the CDP is delivering four different VILTs to the employees – Special Needs Population Considerations During Emergency Response, Communicating Effectively in an Emergency, Active Shooter/Assailant: Behavioral Indicators and How to Respond, and Lone Wolf Threat in Every Town USA. Each one-hour class is scheduled to be presented twice over a four-week period.
While this marks the first time the CDP has delivered a cohort VILT package to a school district, the center has delivered cohort VILT packages to healthcare and emergency preparedness organizations across the U.S., to include organizations in Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
CDP cohort VILT packages can be tailored to an organization’s needs from the center’s library of available classes.
