CDP developing mass dispensing ops course
When healthcare professionals across the nation begin dispensing a COVID-19 vaccine, many of them will have FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness to thank for training them how to set up and operate an efficient and smooth mass dispensing operation.
The CDP is the process of developing a mass dispensing operations course to help medical responders and administrators plan for and operate dispensing sites. The course will include discussions about various site setups and the resources required for each type of arrangement.
Special emphasis will be placed on the setup and operation of drive-up dispensing sites.
The course is expected to be about two hours long and packaged for delivery in the CDP’s Virtual Instructor-led Training (VILT) format. Course material in the VILT format is presented live and allows students and instructors to interact, virtually, with one another.
CDP curriculum developers anticipate the course to be available sometime later this year.
