CDP, DHS collaborating on BioWatch webinar

The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) is working with the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office to create a BioWatch Sampling distance learning webinar.

Filming on the project began at the CDP last week and the webinar will be made available later this year to individuals designated by the CWMD Office.

The BioWatch Program monitors for biological agents intentionally released into the air. It acts as an early warning system, enabling rapid response to reduce illnesses and deaths from a bioterrorism attack.

The CDP continually creates training offerings (resident, non-resident and online) to improve the capabilities of state, local, tribal and territorial responders charged with disaster preparedness and response.
