CDP has healthcare openings in June classes
🚑 The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has seat openings for upcoming healthcare courses in June 2026!
Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL)
Offered May 31–June 6 and June 14–27, 2026, the four-day HCL course prepares healthcare leaders to make critical decisions during all-hazards disasters. Participants engage in emergency preparedness activities, disaster-planning response, and recovery functions, culminating in a tabletop exercise and a two-day functional exercise. Accredited for 3.2 CEUs.
Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT)
Also available May 31–June 6 and June 14–27, 2026, the three-day HERT course teaches responders to properly use personal protective equipment, triage, and decontaminate ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients. A fourth day features a train-the-trainer module. Accredited for 2.4 CEUs.
Each HCL and HERT iteration concludes with an Integrated Capstone Event—a comprehensive exercise where students collaborate to respond to simulated mass casualty incidents.
Training takes place at the CDP’s Noble Training Hospital, the nation’s only hospital facility dedicated exclusively to disaster preparedness and response training for healthcare professionals.
