CDP offers distance learning course regarding NRIA

FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) offers responders a wide variety of self-paced, web-based training courses which can be accessed anywhere, through a computer or mobile device.

Among the offerings is instruction on the Nuclear/Radiological Incident Annex.

The two-hour course is designed to help responders understand the Nuclear/Radiological Incident Annex, which is part of the National Response Framework and describes the policies, concepts of operations, and responsibilities of federal departments and agencies during the response and short-term recovery phases of nuclear and radiological incidents.

Responders interested in the training can learn more by visiting https://cdp.dhs.gov/training/course/AWR-928-W.

Course registration requires a FEMA Student Identification Number or SID. To complete the one-time registration process for a SID, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register.
