CDP offers HMO refresher through distance learning
FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) offers responders a wide variety of self-paced, web-based training courses which can be accessed anywhere, through a computer or mobile device.
Among the offerings is Hazardous Materials Operations (HMO) Refresher Training.
The eight-hour course refreshes responders on how to analyze, plan and implement response actions for hazardous materials incidents. Students are trained to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1072: Standard for Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Emergency Response Personnel Professional Qualifications.
Responders interested in the training can learn more by visiting https://cdp.dhs.gov/training/course/PER-322-W.
