CDP offers online course in emergency preparedness for healthcare providers
FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) offers responders a wide variety of self-paced, web-based training courses which can be accessed anywhere, through a computer or mobile device.
Among the offerings is Health Sector Emergency Preparedness Distance Learning Course, an eight-hour class which provides training and resources to emergency management officials, healthcare coalitions, healthcare providers and suppliers. The course focuses on the general overview of emergency planning and preparedness, development of policies and procedures, creation of communication plans, and training and exercises for healthcare entities.
