CDP offers online emergency medical response course

FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) offers responders a wide variety of self-paced, web-based training courses which can be accessed anywhere, through a computer or mobile device.

Among the offerings is the Emergency Medical Response Awareness for CBRNE Incidents dL Course, which teaches students about caring for people who’ve been exposed to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) materials. The eight-hour course covers CBRNE threats and associated symptoms of exposure and contamination, as well as how to triage and treat CBRNE victims.

Responders interested in the training can learn more by visiting https://cdp.dhs.gov/training/course/PER-271-W.

Course registration requires a FEMA Student Identification Number or SID. To complete the one-time registration process for a SID, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register.
