CDP offers radiological assessment distance learning course
FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) offers responders a wide variety of self-paced, web-based training courses which can be accessed anywhere, through a computer or mobile device.
Among the offerings is Radiological Accident Assessment Concepts.
The 16-hour course teaches responders how to assess the consequences to the public following a radioactive release and how to use this assessment as a basis for recommending protective actions to decision makers.
Responders interested in the training can learn more by visiting https://cdp.dhs.gov/training/course/AWR-925-W.
Course registration requires a FEMA Student Identification Number or SID. To complete the one-time registration process for a SID, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register.
