CDP offers web-based chemical facility security training
The Center for Domestic Preparedness provides first responders several self-paced, web-based training offerings they can access from work, home or other location using a computer or compatible mobile device.
One of these distance learning offerings – Chemical Sector Security Awareness Training – provides participants with the foundational knowledge about security of a chemical facility.
The 60-minute independent course helps students identify their roles and responsibilities regarding a facility’s security, identify possible activities and behaviors which pose a potential security threat, and what actions to take to increase the facility’s security posture.
Responders interested in the training should visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/training/course/AWR-912.
Course registration requires a FEMA Student Identification Number or SID. To complete the one-time registration process for a FEMA SID, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register.
