CDP partnering on healthcare video short
The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) is now partnering with the National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center (NETEC) to produce its Healthcare Provider Down microlearning video.
The NETEC establishes standards for special pathogen preparedness and response in health systems across the U.S.
The offering, which will be released later this year, will show medical responders how to safely evacuate a fellow provider who becomes incapacitated while treating a patient with an infectious disease.
The CDP’s microlearning videos, which are less than 10 minutes in length, allow responders to learn about a variety of healthcare, hazardous materials, and law enforcement matters. Offerings currently available cover topics such as mass casualty incident planning, fentanyl incident response, hazardous materials identification, and grounding and bonding procedures.
Responders are encouraged to subscribe to the CDP’s training channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkIoi6TLqSBH7Moy5U_M7Uw. Doing so ensures automatic notification when videos and other products are added to the site.
