CDP partners with NEHA to train environmental health leaders
FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) recently formed a partnership with the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) to provide the center’s Environmental Health Training in Emergency Response Operations (EHTER OPS) course to environmental health professionals in the NEHA’s Leadership Academy Program.
EHTER Ops is a five-day course which teaches responders about environmental health protocols and equipment for disaster response. It includes instruction on how to assess environmental problems and risks, plan a team response to an incident, and perform associated reporting and follow-up activities.
The NEHA Leadership Program is a year-long virtual program which provides future state, local, tribal, and territorial environmental health leaders training in management, emergency management and community partnerships.
