CDP preparing toxic gas distance learning course
The Center for Domestic Preparedness will soon add another course to its growing library of web-based offerings.
It’s currently in the process of finalizing its Toxic Gas-Forming Reactions Training distance learning course. If all goes as planned, it should be released in early spring.
The course is being developed in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office and will help public safety officials and first responders recognize, identify and respond to a wide range of toxic gas threats.
Of particular interest, the hour-long course will include information about “knockdown” toxic chemical gases, to include materials and equipment used to produce and deliver these gases, and the actions public safety officials and responders should take before, during and after an incident involving these gases.
