CDP releases August training numbers

The CDP has released its training numbers for the month of August.

During the month, the Center conducted 40 courses for 1,419 students on its campus in Anniston, AL, and 146 courses for 2,228 students at sites across the U.S. and its territories.

Resident training during the month was highlighted by the first of two Highly Infectious Disease Theme Weeks the CDP has planned in 2019; teams of responders from California, Florida and Minnesota linking up to tackle the CDP’s Healthcare Coalition Response Leadership course; and Air and Army National Guardsmen from various states attending the Center’s Incident Command course, as well as a number of hazardous materials-related courses.

Non-resident and Indirect training during the month, meanwhile, was highlighted by training in Wisconsin to prepare responders for the 2020 National Democratic Convention in Milwaukee, training in North Carolina to prepare responders for the 2020 National Republican Convention in Charlotte, and training in Florida to prepare responders for the next Super Bowl, which will be played in Miami.
