CDP releases December resident training calendar
The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has released its resident training calendar for the month of December.
Healthcare training during the month includes Emergency Medical Operations for CBRNE Incidents, Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL) and Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT) offerings.
The HERT course will include a train-the-trainer component and will pair with the HCL course for an Integrated Capstone Event, or ICE. An ICE is a comprehensive exercise at the end of a training week where students from multiple courses and disciplines work together to respond to simulated incidents patterned after real-world events.
Law enforcement offerings include the CDP’s Field Force Operations; Field Force Extrication Tactics; and Integrating Communications, Assessment and Tactics (ICAT) courses. ICAT will also have a train-the-trainer component.
Hazardous materials offerings include the center’s Hazardous Materials Operations; Hazardous Materials Technician; and Hazardous Materials Technologies: Sampling, Monitoring, and Detection courses.
Additionally, the CDP is offering its Managing Public Information for All Hazards Incidents Course.
Registration for these opportunities is currently open. To apply, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/training-calendar.
