CDP releases February, March resident course schedules
The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has released its resident training calendar for the months of February and March 2026.
Hazardous materials offerings planned for February include the center’s Hazardous Materials Operations (HMO), Hazardous Materials Technician and Hazardous Materials Technologies: Sampling, Monitoring, and Detection (HT) courses. In March, the CDP plans to offer its HMO and HT courses.
The CDP’s Field Force Extrication Tactics and Field Force Operations courses will be offered in both months.
In March, the center will hold its second annual Law Enforcement Training Week March 8-14. The week will begin with a professional development day for all students. Course tracks include Field Force Extrication Tactics, Field Force Operations, Public Order and Public Safety, surveillance detection, active shooter response, and protective measures for use during chemical, biological or radiological incidents. All courses will culminate in a large-scale exercise.
Additionally, in March, the CDP will host a pilot delivery of a new course, Response to Controlled Dangerous Substances: Fentanyl, Analogs and Pharmaceutical Based Agents, the week of March 15. This course provides threat identification as well as information and skills needed to safely respond to a scene involving pharmaceutical-based substances.
Healthcare courses planned for February and March include the Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL) and Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT) courses.
Each iteration of the HCL and HERT courses will culminate in an Integrated Capstone Event, a comprehensive exercise where students work together to respond to simulated mass casualty incidents.
