CDP releases July resident training numbers

FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has released the number of course completions recorded in July by those who trained on its campus in Anniston, Alabama.

The CDP recorded 1,155 course completions in 35 resident deliveries during the month, including the CDP’s Law Enforcement Protective Measures for Complex Incidents, Barrier Precautions and Controls for Highly Infectious Disease and Hazardous Materials Technician courses.

The month also saw the CDP conduct training for National Guardsmen from Missouri and nursing students from two colleges in the Southeast.

“I learned a lot about leadership. I feel like it will help me be a better leader,” said one law enforcement student.

CDP training is provided free of charge to state, local, tribal, and territorial emergency responders, including round-trip transportation, meals, and lodging.
