CDP releases June resident course schedule

The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has released its resident training calendar for the month of June.

Healthcare training includes the CDP’s Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents and Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents courses. The two classes will culminate in Integrated Capstone Events, or ICEs – comprehensive exercises where students work together to respond to simulated mass casualty incidents.

The CDP’s law enforcement offerings during the month include Field Force Operations, Field Force Extrication Tactics and Evidence Collection in a Hazardous Materials Environment courses, as well as the first resident iteration of the CDP’s new Public Order and Public Safety – Basic Course.

Hazardous materials offerings during the month include the center’s Hazardous Materials Operations; Hazardous Materials Technician; Hazardous Materials Technologies: Sampling, Monitoring, and Detection; Respiratory Protection: Program Development and Administration; and Radiological Emergency Response Operations courses.

Additionally, the CDP is offering the Introduction to Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Operations Course. This five-day course is designed to introduce state, local, tribal, and territorial officials to SNS medical materiel and response operations during a public health incident.
