CDP releases June resident course schedule
The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has released its resident training calendar for the month of June.
Hazardous materials offerings during the month include Hazardous Materials Technologies: Sampling, Monitoring, and Detection; Hazardous Materials Operations; Hazardous Materials Technician and REP Radiological Emergency Response Operations courses.
The CDP’s law enforcement offerings during the month include Field Force Extrication Tactics and Field Force Operations courses.
Healthcare training includes the center’s Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL) and Barrier Precautions and Controls for Highly Infectious Disease courses. The HCL class will culminate in an Integrated Capstone Event or ICE – a comprehensive exercise where students work together to respond to simulated mass casualty incidents.
Additionally, the CDP is offering its Incident Command: Capabilities, Planning and Response Actions for All Hazards Course. This three-day course provides management-level responders working in supervisory positions with knowledge of how decisions made can impact the handling of a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive (CBRNE) incident.
Registration for these courses is currently open. To apply, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/training-calendar.
