CDP releases latest resident training numbers

FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has released the number of course completions recorded in December by those who trained on its campus in Anniston, Alabama.

The CDP recorded more than 730 course completions in 20 resident deliveries during the month, including its Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents, Hazardous Materials Operations, Managing Public Information for All Hazards Incidents and Field Force Extrication Tactics courses.

Attendees included Community Emergency Response Team members from Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina; and first responders from Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico; Manassas, Virginia; and the Boston, Massachusetts, area.

“This was the best federal training I have ever been to. Instructors were great. Everything ran seamlessly and the experience was invaluable,” said one HMO student.

CDP training is provided free of charge to state, local, tribal, and territorial emergency responders, including round-trip transportation, meals and lodging.
