CDP releases May resident course schedule

The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has released its resident training calendar for May 2024.

Hazardous materials offerings during the month include the center’s Hazardous Materials Operations and Hazardous Materials Technician courses.

Healthcare training includes the CDP’s Framework for Healthcare Emergency Management, Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT), and Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL) courses. The HERT and HCL iterations will culminate in Integrated Capstone Events, or ICEs – comprehensive exercises where students work together to respond to simulated mass casualty incidents.

The CDP’s law enforcement offerings during the month include Field Force Operations and Field Force Extrication Tactics courses.

Additionally, the CDP is offering its Incident Command: Capabilities, Planning and Response Actions for All Hazards Course. This three-day course provides responders in supervisory positions with the knowledge of how decisions made by those from various disciplines can impact the handling of a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive (CBRNE) incident.

Registration for these offerings is currently open. To apply, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/training-calendar.
