CDP releases resident course calendar for July, August
The Center for Domestic Preparedness’ resident training calendar for July and August includes training opportunities in hazardous materials, healthcare, law enforcement and other areas, in addition to three Integrated Capstone Events, or ICEs.
ICEs are comprehensive exercises at the end of a training week where students from multiple courses and disciplines work together to respond to simulated incidents patterned after real-world events.
Healthcare offerings during this two-month span include the CDP’s Disaster Related Exposure Assessment and Monitoring (DREAM), Emergency Medical Operations for CBRNE Incidents (EMO), Framework for Healthcare Emergency Management (FRAME), Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL), Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT), Environmental Health Training in Emergency Response – Operations (EHTER Ops), and Barrier Precautions and Controls for Highly Infectious Disease (HID) courses. The three HCL offerings will team with HERT classes during these months for ICE exercises.
Hazardous materials offerings during July and August include the center’s Hazardous Materials Technician (HMT); Hazardous Materials Technologies: Sampling, Monitoring, and Detection; Respiratory Protection: Program Development and Administration (HT); Hazardous Materials Operations (HMO); and Radiological Emergency Response Operations (RERO) courses.
The law enforcement offerings include the CDP’s Integrating Communications, Assessment and Tactics (ICAT); Field Force Operations (FFO); and Field Force Extrication Tactics (FFO) courses.
Additionally, the CDP is offering at least one iteration of its Instructor Training Course (ITC).
Registration for these training opportunities is currently open.
