CDP releases resident course calendar for June

The Center for Domestic Preparedness’ June resident training calendar is filled with law enforcement, hazardous materials, healthcare and other offerings, including two Integrated Capstone Events (ICE). ICEs are comprehensive exercises at the end of a training week where students from multiple courses and disciplines work together in response to simulated incidents patterned after real-world events.

Law enforcement offerings for June include Field Force Extrication Tactics, Field Force Operations and Law Enforcement Protective Measures for Complex Incidents.

The hazardous materials offerings include the CDP’s Hazardous Material Awareness; Hazardous Materials Technologies: Sampling, Monitoring, and Detection; Hazardous Materials Operations; and Hazardous Materials Technician courses.

The two Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents and Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents offerings in June will culminate in ICE exercises.

Additionally, the CDP will offer its Incident Command: Capabilities, Planning and Response Actions for All Hazards; Respiratory Protection: Program Development and Administration; Strategic National Stockpile Preparedness (SNS) Course; and Instructor Training Course. This will be the first offering in 2022 for the SNS course, which is a five-day course designed to give federal, state and local officials information on how to best plan and prepare for a public health emergency and how to use and manage the Strategic National Stockpile in response to an incident or emergency.

Registration is currently open.
