CDP releases resident course schedule for January

The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has released its resident training calendar for the month of January 2024.

Healthcare training includes the CDP’s Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL) and Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT) courses. The HCL and HERT classes will culminate in an Integrated Capstone Event, or ICE – a comprehensive exercise where students work together to respond to simulated mass casualty incidents patterned after real-world events.

The CDP’s law enforcement offerings for the month include Field Force Operations and Field Force Extrication Tactics courses.

Hazardous materials offerings for the month include the center’s Hazardous Materials Operations; Hazardous Materials Technician; Hazardous Materials Technologies: Sampling, Monitoring, and Detection; and Respiratory Protection: Program Development and Administration courses.

Additionally, the CDP is offering its Strategic National Stockpile Preparedness Course. The five-day course is designed to give federal, state and local officials information on how to best plan and prepare for a public health emergency and how to manage the stockpile in response to a terrorist attack, natural disaster or other accident.

Registration for these offerings is currently open. To apply, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/training-calendar.
