CDP releases resident course schedule for March
The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has released its resident training calendar for the month of March 2024.
Healthcare training includes the CDP’s Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents and Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents courses. Both courses will culminate in an Integrated Capstone Event or ICE – a comprehensive exercise where students work together to respond to simulated mass casualty incidents.
The CDP’s law enforcement offerings during the month include Field Force Operations and Field Force Extrication Tactics courses.
Hazardous materials offerings during the month include the center’s Hazardous Materials Technician; Hazardous Materials Technologies: Sampling, Monitoring, and Detection; and Advanced Radiological Incident Operations courses.
Additionally, the CDP is offering the REP Field Operations Course. The four-day course provides responders with the information and practical skills necessary to effectively respond to a radiological incident at a commercial nuclear power plant.
Registration for these offerings is currently open. To apply, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/training-calendar.
The month of March will also include the CDP’s annual Tribal Nations Training Week, which is open to all personnel who work in an emergency response capacity and are affiliated with one or more tribal nations or the Indian Health Service.
