CDP releases resident training numbers for fiscal year 2024
FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) has released the number of course completions recorded in fiscal year 2024 by those who trained on its campus in Anniston, Alabama.
The CDP recorded more than 9,500 course completions in 282 resident course deliveries during the year, including a variety of hazardous materials, law enforcement and healthcare-related offerings.
Attendees included responders from American Samoa and Puerto Rico, as well as numerous hospital systems across the continental United States. There were also more than 300 responders and leaders from tribal nations who participated in the CDP’s 2024 Tribal Nations Training Week in March.
“The instructors were excellent. They have experience and that helps us better understand what, how, when and why to operate and execute this kind of training. They were very clear at all times and professional,” said one student.
CDP training is provided free of charge to state, local, tribal, and territorial emergency responders, including round-trip transportation, meals, and lodging.
