CDP releases September resident course calendar
The Center for Domestic Preparedness’ resident training calendar for September includes a week dedicated to train the trainer courses as well as its normal catalog of incident command, hazardous materials, healthcare and law enforcement offerings.
The hazardous materials offerings include the center’s Hazardous Materials Technician (HMT) and Hazardous Materials Operations (HMO) courses.
The healthcare offerings include the Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL) and Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT) courses as well as Environmental Health Training in Emergency Response – Operations (EHTER Ops), Framework for Healthcare Emergency Management (FRAME), and Barrier Precautions and Controls for Highly Infectious Disease (HID) courses.
Law enforcement offerings in September include the CDP’s Field Force Extrication Tactics (FFE), Field Force Operations (FFO), and Integrating Communications, Assessment and Tactics (ICAT) courses.
Additionally, the CDP is offering its Respiratory Protection: Program Development and Administration; Managing Public Information for All Hazards Incidents; and Incident Command: Capabilities, Planning and Response Actions for All Hazards courses during the month.
This is in addition to those courses offered during the Train the Trainer Theme Week, September 11-16. Courses offered that week include the CDP’s Hazardous Materials Awareness Train the Trainer, ICAT Train the Trainer, HERT - Basic Train-the-Trainer, Law Enforcement Protective Measures for CBRNE Incidents Train-the-Trainer, Radiological Series Train the Trainer, Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response Train-the-Trainer and Instructor Training courses.
