CDP releases Virtual Instructor-Led Training schedule for April

The Center for Domestic Preparedness has released its Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) schedule for the month of April.

The schedule includes 51 offerings on a wide range of topics, from ‘Crisis Standards of Care and Treatment Decision-Making’ and ‘Barrier Precautions and Controls for Highly Infectious Disease’ to ‘Planning, Response, and Management of Radiological and Nuclear Incidents’ and ‘Emergency Communication Methods.’

VILT sessions typically run about one to two hours.

Responders can participate in the courses from work, home or any other location using a computer or compatible mobile device capable of running Adobe Connect. A phone (landline or cellular) is needed to call into a phone bridge. Participation via the virtual classroom and the phone bridge is required to receive a certificate of completion.

To register, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/vilt, select the desired course from the list, and click apply. Two business days prior to training you will receive an email with additional information about the course, to include the virtual classroom link and instructions, and the phone bridge number and pin.
