CDP releases Virtual Instructor-Led Training schedule for October
The Center for Domestic Preparedness has released its Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) schedule for the month of October.
The schedule includes more than 60 offerings on a wide range of topics, from ‘Federal, State, and Local Roles in Medical Emergency Response’ and ‘Target Analysis and Community Planning for Hazardous Materials’ to ‘Tactical Decontamination for Law Enforcement’ and ‘Emergency Management and the Public Information Officer.’
VILT sessions typically run one to two hours, and responders can participate in the courses from work, home or other location, using a computer or compatible mobile device capable of running Adobe Connect.
A phone (landline or cellular) is also needed to call into a phone bridge. Participation via the virtual classroom and the phone bridge is required to receive a certificate of completion.
To register, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/vilt, select the desired course from the list and click apply.
Two business days prior to training, you will receive an email with additional information about the course, to include the virtual classroom link and instructions, as well as the phone bridge number and pin.
