CDP releases Virtual Instructor-Led Training schedule for September
The Center for Domestic Preparedness has released its Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) schedule for the month of September.
The schedule includes more than 50 offerings on a wide range of topics, from ‘Special Needs Population Considerations During Emergency Response’ and ‘Hospital Incident Command System’ to ‘Hazardous Materials Response Planning and Management’ and ‘The Right to Protest and Law Enforcement Response.’
VILT sessions typically run one to two hours.
Responders can participate in the courses from work, home or other location, using a computer or compatible mobile device capable of running Adobe Connect. A phone (landline or cellular) is needed to call into a phone bridge. Participation via the virtual classroom and the phone bridge is required to receive a certificate of completion.
To register, visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/vilt, select the desired course from the list and click apply. Two business days prior to training, you will receive an email with additional information about the course, to include the virtual classroom link and instructions, as well as the phone bridge number and pin.
