CDP releases web-based training numbers for January
FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness this week released its number of web-based course completions for January.
The CDP recorded nearly 2,100 web-based course completions during the month. Completions result from responders taking one or more Virtual-Instructor-Led Training presentations or one or more self-paced courses in the center’s online training library.
The CDP currently has a catalog of about 50 Virtual-Instructor-Led Training offerings, which span a variety of topics from respiratory protection to healthcare management.
Brief descriptions about and scheduled dates and times of all CDP VILT presentations can be found at https://cdp.dhs.gov/vilt.
Responders who want to attend a VILT event must register prior to its start date. Once registered, they are provided links and login instructions to the virtual classroom, in addition to other information.
The CDP’s online training library currently consists of 13 courses for responders in a variety of disciplines (i.e. Fire Services, Healthcare, Law Enforcement).
Brief descriptions about each of the CDP online offerings, as well as information on how to register for the courses, can be found at https://cdp.dhs.gov/online_course.
