CDP releases web-based training numbers for June

FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness this week released its number of web-based course completions for June.

The CDP recorded 4,000 web-based course completions during the month. That total includes 2,632 virtual instructor-led training (VILT) and 1,368 self-paced online course completions.

The CDP currently has a catalog of more than 50 VILT offerings, which span a variety of topics from pathogens of special concern to planning, response and management of a biological pathogen or agent incident.

Brief descriptions about and scheduled dates and times of all CDP VILT presentations can be found at https://cdp.dhs.gov/vilt.

Responders who want to attend a VILT event must register prior to its start date. Once registered, they are provided links and login instructions to the virtual classroom, in addition to other information.

The CDP’s online training library currently consists of 20 courses for responders in a variety of disciplines (i.e. Fire Services, Healthcare, Law Enforcement).

Brief descriptions about each of the CDP online offerings, as well as information on how to register for the courses, can be found at https://cdp.dhs.gov/online_course.
